It's been awhile....I know!!!

Ok So I know it has been forever, like 5 months since I posted anything so here is a brief summary of the last 5 months.

My brother Scott got married (actually in December) and so I got a new sister in law Ubon and niece (her daughter) Sara.

I went backpacking with my boyfriend to a hidden forest just outside of Vegas....yeah you heard right, there is a hidden forest in the desert! It was beautiful. By then end of the trip we had hiked about 16 miles!

On the trip we hiked to the top of a peak....most strenuous hike ever!!! I was proud of myself for making it!

And Brenon enjoyed a hot bath after the long hike. Not something you see everyday!

This cabin is maintained by volunteers and is great!

We took a day trip to Cathedral Gorge which is some amazing clay silt formations. The weather report was horribly wrong and it snowed on us. Needless to say, it was an adventure in mud!

My good friend and roommate Kaitlin had a birthday so while she was gone for the weekend Brenon got out his air compressor and we blew up over 150 balloons and filled her room!

She loved it and had a great birthday!

My friends/co-workers got married!

Did I mention they got married by Elvis....it was probably one of the funnest weddings I have been to!

And just last weekend we hiked to the Goldstrike hot springs and then down to the Colorado River. That is the bridge over Hoover Dam in the background.

Brenon decided he wanted to swim in the freezing cold river to a sauna cave...I passed.

We enjoyed a hot shower in nature!!!
So we have had quite the adventures lately and that's not even all of it!!! Just the highlights. Sometimes I feel like a weekend at home is a past time but we do enjoy all our adventures and hobbies. I also started tennis lessons so now we play tennis, rock climb, hike, camp and backpack!
